This is how I'm applying my 25 years of expertise in web development and software engineering: following Greg Pak's example for making a simple homepage, I've released a basic HTML template for creating a webcomic.
The layout reconfigures itself based on screen width. On mobile devices it'll be a single column layout with a dropdown menu. On laptops and wider screens it expands to a classic two-column layout.
